GIRLS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Our mentorship program engages secondary school girls in conversations around the barriers that hinder their well-being and opportunities for personal development, while nurturing their talents, promoting their rights, and encouraging bold aspirations.

The mentorship named “Funo Langa – My Dream: position girls promote girls’ engagement in leadership, education, politics, technology, and innovation. The theme also complements the UN Commission on the Status of Women’spriority area on “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality.”

OUR MENTEES AND MENTORS

Meet Hanifa Kanyenda, a seasoned banker at NBS Bank Malawi, as she shares her inspiring journey of mentoring Veronica, a beneficiary of the SOFF Bursary Programme.

Her story highlights the transformative power of mentorship — especially for girls with special needs, who often require intentional support, belief, and opportunity to thrive.
