Her Excellency and the Ambassador of Japan to Malawi, His Excellency Satochi Iwakiri have signed a USD116035 (about K94 Million) grant contract for construction of an 80 bed girls hostel and a water facility at Katowo Community Day Secondary School in Rumphi district.
Her Excellency Madam Monica Chakwera donated sanitary kits and school materials to Likuni Girls Secondary School and Lilongwe Girls Seconday School. The pads were donated by Afripads through Plan International Malawi and Merck Foundation, she also donated 150 School desks from UNAIDS uner the Tsogolo Lawo Project to Lilongwe Girls Secondary School.
Her Excellency received on behalf of SOFF medical equipment and supplies and a cheque amounting to K24 Million Kwacha from People's Republic of China through the Chinese Embassy in Malawi.
