EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM

Education Infrastructure

We are expanding access to education in hard-to-reach areas by constructing girls’ hostels and secondary schools. In many communities, girls walk an average of 10 to 15 kilometers each day to attend Community Day Secondary Schools. These long and unsafe journeys expose girls to abuse, increase the risk of school dropout, and negatively affect academic performance due to exhaustion.

By constructing girls’ hostels in remote areas of Malawi, we are removing these barriers and providing safe, secure, and permanent accommodation that enables girls to focus on their education. These facilities significantly improve attendance, retention, and academic performance by eliminating dangerous commutes, reducing early marriage, and protecting girls from sexual exploitation.
