Our approach is strategic and rooted in community experience. We harness data, amplify lived realities, and engage directly with decision makers to influence laws, shift public discourse, and mobilize political will. Whether in the classroom, the clinic, or the village square, we ensure the rights and leadership of girls and women remain at the forefront of development agendas.
OUR ADVOCACY PRIORITIES
1. Gender Equality and Girls’ Rights
We champion the rights of rural girls to access education, live free from violence, and achieve their full potential. Through community campaigns and national dialogues, we challenge harmful social norms, promote gender-transformative education, and demand stronger protections for girls.
2. Health Policy Engagement
SOFF engages with national, regional, and global platforms to influence policies affecting girls and women. We contribute to education sector reviews, national youth and SRHR strategies, and gender budgeting processes, ensuring that marginalized voices inform decision-making.
3. Women’s Rights and Empowerment
Through initiatives like the #WeAreEqual Campaign, we work with traditional leaders, faith leaders, and government ministries to drive attention and action on adolescent pregnancy, gender-based violence, and women’s leadership. Our partnerships amplify grassroots priorities at the highest levels.
We collaborate with youth networks, women’s rights organizations, and civil society alliances to strengthen collective action. Together, we push for the realization of Africa Agenda 2063 and Sustainable Development Goals 1, 4, and 5, targeting poverty, quality education, and gender equality.
